Hailing from the Kawartha Lakes region of Central Ontario, Erik Luzak was born with a love of fishing. His competitive fishing addiction started young, at the local club level, fishing as a non-boater. Later on advancing to the Competitive Sport Fishing League (CSFL) at the age of 16, where he became the youngest boater to qualify for the CSFL Classic. Through writing editorials in various publications Erik developed a passion for educating others. In 2005 he founded Bass Class; a professional fishing school specialized in teaching the techniques of bass fishing. With a desire to reach a larger audience, Erik turned his attention to video and in 2009 launched “That’s Fishing with Erik Luzak” an educational DVD series. 20 years has passed since Erik competed in his first tournament. This year, at the age of 32, Erik has become the first Canadian to qualify for the FLW Forrest Wood Cup through the FLW International Division. In 2019 Erik will travel to Arkansas and compete on bass fishing’s biggest stage against the sports best anglers at the Forrest Wood Cup.
